RON PINE                               MY TRIBUTE TO HIM  for his work on Monodelphis

Before the existence of my "Revision of the genus Monodelphis", the only author who published works dealing with Monodelphis was   Ronald Pine.     "He opened the doors for me" - See below the substantial list of his works:

In this picture you can see the different development of the anterior process of the bulla.
Monodelphis iheringi a paedomorphic species have lost the process, and this process is small in the adjacent populations of M. americana. Gomes, N. F., 1991. LINK
